Come and join us for this well-established popular event!
Sunday 21 April 2024, 11am to 3pm.
This is your chance to see a selection of vintage cars, motorcycles and bicycles, mostly dating from pre-2000, and to help us raise money for a selection of charities and good causes.
All vehicles will be on display in the Main Beach Car Park and you’ll have a chance to vote for your favourite. There will also be some stalls for you to take a look around and pick up some refreshments.
The history behind the classic car show
Local resident Jenny Lazenbury set up the Swanage Classic Car Show in 1996 with the purpose of raising vital funds for charities and supporting her interest in classic cars.
The event has run annually ever since, going from strength to strength and becoming well known as one of the first local car shows of the year, as well as becoming a key event in the Swanage calendar, attracting visitors and residents alike.
Jenny’s dedication has led to thousands of pounds being raised for a selection of charities over the years, including a number of good causes that are close to her heart.
Having grown the event over the years, Jenny took the decision in 2022 to hand over the reins of this well-established event. Jenny was helped to organise the event in 2022 by Culvin Milmer and his son Eddie, and together they have agreed for the event to become a Swanage Carnival event, that will continue the fundraising focus by donating proceeds to good causes.
This year’s event will be held on Sunday 21st April at Main Beach Car Park between 11 am and 3 pm.
