This is the 5th year that Swanage Bay Fish is presenting at the Carnival cookery demonstrations. A new howdy record!
We are really pleased that Julia Noone, Swanage’s officially accredited fishmonger, and her “laugh a minute” brother are demonstrating. Those of you who have been to the Swanage cookery demonstrations will know we are in for a swell treat! They are very excited by the 2026 Carnival theme and will no doubt ride in with a campsite special with a Western flavour.
You will get to know how to select your fish, make sure it is properly prepared and how to create a delicious meal. Maybe adding a cowboy sauce option and the all-important prairie dressing.
Julia is likely will give you a round up to the range of local fish available from her shop in central Swanage. Plus, what times of the year are best for which variety of fish.
Like all cookery demonstrations on Sandpit Field, there will be opportunities to see the food before and after preparation. Please come armed with your questions about fish that you have never had the chance to ask before!
