At last nights Carnival AGM, Chairman Darren said his farewells as he returned to the “back benches ” after his 3 year stint as chairman.
A spokesperson for Carnival said : On behalf of the Swanage Carnival Committee, we would like to extend our deepest thanks to Darren Strong for his incredible contribution as Chairman of Swanage Carnival over the past three years.
Under Darren’s leadership, the Carnival has continued to thrive, bringing joy to our community and raising vital funds for local charities and good causes. His dedication, energy, and commitment behind the scenes have been instrumental in making Swanage Carnival the success it is today.
Darren, thank you for your hard work and passion — your time as Chairman has left a lasting legacy.
Taking over from Darren is Neal Diffey, Neal said “This is a very proud moment for me . I have been involved with Swanage Carnival , in one way or another, for most of my life, and last night I was voted in as Chairman. There will be highs and lows along the way but I am really looking forward to working with the team of over 120 volunteers , and leading us all into the future.”
Taking over as Vice chair is Cam Tomes , Mandy MacDonald was re- elected as Treasurer, Kevin Langdon re -elected as Secretary and Liz Bowden re-elected as Membership Secretary.
