Our Charities

Our Chosen Charities & Local Good Causes

After receiving a huge number of applicants, we are delighted to share our chosen charities and local good causes that we will be donating to in 2024! Every year members of the these groups do their bit to contribute towards the success of Swanage Carnival, by helping behind the bar or shaking a bucket – there’s so many ways to support the South’s Premier Carnival and we couldn’t do it without them!

How To Donate

Our bucketeers will be out and about all week during events so don’t forget to bring along those coins you’ve been saving all year for Swanage Carnival. If you’ve gone cashless, there’s still plenty of ways in which you can donate! Scan the QR code on the collection buckets or on Carnival signage around the Showground.

Donations are already open for this years Carnival both on our App and on our website here:

Annual Charity : Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance

Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance is one of Swanage Carnival’s annual charities.  The charity was established to provide relief from sickness and injury for the people of Dorset and Somerset, by the provision of an air ambulance. The charity receives no direct funding from the Government or the National Lottery and relies on the generosity of the public and organisation such as Swanage Carnival for support. With operational costs of over £3.5 million a year and the approximate cost per mission of £3,000, our annual support helps maintain a vital service in our community.

Raising thousands of pounds each year for our chosen charities and good causes
