Carnival Committee Members & Friends of Swanage Carnival
If you would like to join the Swanage Carnival volunteers there are two membership options. You can join either as Carnival Committee Member and be involved with our work and preparations throughout the year, as well as volunteering your time during Carnival week. Or you can join as a Friend of Swanage Carnival and offer your time during Carnival week.

Become an active member the Carnival Committee
Swanage Carnival is one of the oldest organisations of its kind. We strive to put on a spectacular show for the beautiful town of Swanage and also to raise money for a selection of good causes that will directly benefit our community.
Swanage Carnival is a voluntary organisation which is fully self funded, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and the thousands of attendees who support our many events.
Our Carnival Committee Members work hard throughout the year, planning the next event and raising vital funds. We meet every month, providing an open forum for our volunteers to discuss Carnival matters and develop new ideas.

Help us out as a friend of Swanage Carnival
If you cannot commit to regular meetings, or if attending monthly meetings is not for you, why not become a Friend of Swanage Carnival.
As a Friend of Swanage Carnival you volunteer to give your time during Carnival Week, helping with collections and events. There is no requirement for you to attend any meetings during the year.
A regular newsletter will be sent out to keep you updated with Carnival news and you will receive invites to social events.

Raising thousands of pounds each year for our chosen charities and good causes
In 2024 Swanage Carnival celebrated another successful year, giving away a staggering £30,900 to 23 selected organisations. The donations were awarded at our annual presentation night and we have been delighted to learn how these hard raised funds have been put to great use in our community.
